Olmo Competition vintage road bicycle with a steel frame, rim brakes, mechanical gears, built before 2000, located in Italy and sold as used, featuring Shimano 600 Arabesque and a chrome fork.
Description from the seller
Olmo Competition – vintage road bike – Shimano 600 Arabesque – steel – chromed fork
I propose a vintage Olmo road bike, attributable to the “Competition” series/model.
The bike features a steel frame in orange, with the classic white Olmo graphics and gold trim, chromed fork and the aesthetic setup typical of Italian vintage racing bikes. The original decal with the word “competition”, placed on the top tube, is now heavily deteriorated and largely erased by time, but the frame shape, graphics and remnants of the decal are consistent with that identification.
An element of particular interest is the presence of the Shimano 600 Arabesque groupset, a component highly sought after and appreciated by vintage bicycle enthusiasts for its build quality, elegance and rarity. The bike also presents valuable period details, including the characteristic solution with lever/brake on a supplementary rod at the handlebars, a very interesting detail for those seeking a vehicle with a strong historical and collectible flavor.
The pedals visible in the photo are not included in the sale. Instead, vintage pedals matching the bike's period are included.
The bike is offered in the condition visible in the photograph, with normal signs of wear and use compatible with the age of the vehicle. Ideal for collectors, Olmo brand enthusiasts, restorers or lovers of vintage Italian racing bicycles.
Shimano 600 Arabesque groupset, rare and highly sought after
Period components
Pedals visible in the photo not included; vintage pedals included
Condition as per photographs
It should be noted that the decal “competition” on the top tube is now deteriorated and largely erased; the model designation is therefore stated on the basis of the aesthetic and constructive elements present on the frame.
