Antique enamel street sign “Seehausstraße 41” – Germany – circa 1930s
An impressive and authentic enamel street sign from the 1930s, originating from Germany. This fine sign bears the street name “Seehausstraße 41” in a characteristic Gothic typeface, in white on a deep cobalt blue background. The elegant typography and classical design make this a particularly decorative object with a rich historical appearance.
The sign is made of heavy steel with a high-quality enamel layer, as was typical for street signs from the early 20th century. The warm patina, slight discoloration along the edges, and subtle signs of use tell the story of decades of outdoor exposure and give the sign an authentic character that is highly valued by collectors.
