Italian school (XVIII) - Madonna con Bambino

Wooden panel with a woolen fabric decorated with floral polychromy, silver threads, and oil on canvas, depicting the Virgin Mary with the Child Jesus. The work which I personally dated to the early 1700s (if not earlier) belonged to decorative floral work in polychrome threads and silver threads once made by nuns (at least in Italy). The flowers have faded over the centuries, while the silver threads surrounding the two figures have darkened but remain intact in every part and complete. The faces, hands, and feet of the figures are oil on canvas and applied to the base. The faces depicted are typical of the Lombard school of the aforementioned period. The work is original and authentic; it has not undergone any tampering or restoration. As a collector and expert in the matter, I guarantee the work in every part.
