Double handled vase - Bronze - with flower-shaped covers and terminals

Important and rare pair of bronze vases with lids, with a dark patina, Greek-Roman style.
Finely chased decoration; it almost looks like a lost-wax casting!
Ivy leaves and tendrils – the quality is evident (Barye, Mène or Barbedienne) – unsigned. The handles are finely carved. The knobs are leaf-pennant shaped finials.
A splendid, bright patina that delicately enhances the details
