Pair of antique frames in brass/gilded bronze, historically used as cases for religious reliquaries or repurposed as photo frames and small mirrors. They feature a finely sculpted winged cherub or putto in the upper central area. Made in Italy in the second half of the 19th century in Baroque/Rococo style due to the sinuous lines, volutes, and paw-footed feet. On the back of one frame you can still see the small metal hooks used to secure the mirror, the photo, or the original sacred text. In good condition with normal signs of age and wear; they were originally more gilded. The dimensions are height 28 cm with a total weight of 1.4 kg. See photos for condition and measurements.
