Description from the seller

Complete table service for condiments (ménage/olive oil cruet) dating from the period between 1960 and 1970, characterized by an elegant Modernist / Mid-Century Modern design with clean geometric lines.

The set is signed by the renowned Milanese firm Maestri Milano (A. Brambilla & C.), a manufacturer no longer active today and part of the history of modern design and Lombard industrial design, as documented by the original hallmark impressed on the outer bottom of the tray, which reads the full commercial inscription "II Maestri Argente Silver Pltd on Brass Italy" together with the matrix numeric code "11", attesting to a heavy solid-brass frame finely subjected to a robust electroplating process.

The composition comprises four coordinated pieces in thick, hand-blown crystal with a high refractive index, recognizable by the evident rainbow iridescences produced when light passes through; while preserving an original factory sticker on one ampoule, the absence of the internal original inscription suggests a probable attribution to the historic Tuscan crystal manufactories of excellence.

In detail there are two large bulbous ampoules with a tapered cylindrical neck and two smaller barrel-shaped containers, inserted into the Maestri stand support equipped with spherical feet and topped by a tall arched handle with horizontal grooves of clear late Art Deco geometric influence.

From a conservation perspective the object is structurally solid; both the crystal components and the protective and supporting metallic elements show widespread and visible signs of age and prolonged use tied to its functional nature, which confirm its historical authenticity without altering its overall elegance.

The total dimensions of the stand including the handle are 21 cm in height, 22 cm in length and 14 cm in depth, with a weight of about 1.5 kg.

The shipping method foresees the use of a professional, precise packaging suited to protecting fragile materials, so as to preserve and guarantee the object's total safety during all stages of transport via a tracked express courier.
