WMF / Geislingen - Centrepiece - Silverplated

Centerpiece/epére WMF in silver-plated metal and glass in Art Nouveau style dating from the early 1900s. Stylized female figure supporting a glass structure composed of a vase and two trays at the base. Used to serve fruit and/or desserts with a display of flowers. The centerpiece is listed in the WMF catalog "Art Nouveau Domestic Metalware" (1906) on page 412 and is recognizable with catalog number 483; the number 483 is engraved on the base of the centerpiece. The composition maintains a harmonious balance between structure and ornament, with the lightness of the glass counterpointing the richness of the silvered metal. An original piece bearing witness to the beauty of Art Nouveau. The photos are an integral part of the description.
