A pair of Ventura glass pyramid wall sconces from the 1960s–1970s, Netherlands-made, featuring stacked green glass shards on a triangular metal back, with E14 fittings, fully intact glass, excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of age and both lamps in working order.
Description from the seller
Beautiful and sculptural pair of vintage pyramid wall lamps (sconces) from the 1970s, marketed by Ventura.
These iconic design lamps are made of dozens of handmade, stacked shards of thick, greenish glass.
The glass is secured to a stable, triangular metal wall frame through a careful weave of iron wire.
This pair is in exceptionally authentic condition: both lamps bear the original paper 'Ventura' brand sticker on the socket. Because these stickers have often been lost over the years, this particular set is extremely rare and appealing to collectors.
The back of the fixtures is flat, designed for a sleek wall mount. When the lamps are lit, the thick glass diffuses the light forward in a brilliant, diffuse way, while also creating a stylish up- and downlight effect on the wall. An absolute focal point in any modern, vintage, or Brutalist interior.
Condition:
General: Excellent vintage condition with minimal age-related signs.
Glass: Fully intact, no missing or loose glass elements.
Electrical: Fitted with an E14 socket (small Edison screw).
The original wiring ends in a junction box, ideal for direct connection to a wall light point.
Dimensions per lamp:
Height: 30 cm
Width: 25 cm
Depth: 15 cm
Weight: 2.4 kg per wall lamp (total approx. 4.8 kg).
The lot is packed with extreme care and shipped registered and insured with track & trace. Pick-up is also possible by arrangement.
