Ikko Narahara’s first edition hardback Europe: Where Time That Has Stopped, in Japanese, 204 pages, published in 1967 by Kajimakenkyujoshuppankai, 315 × 213 mm, with a torn clear cover and some loose pages, a rare photo book from Narahara’s Europe collection.

This is a used item, so there may be some minor scratches, scuffs, and dirt on the exterior due to age, but the text and photos are in good condition.

This is the first photo collection by Ikko Narahara. It was created in an era when it was rare for Japanese people to even travel abroad. Using over 30,000 negatives taken in Europe, Narahara employed various techniques to capture his European perspective in this single book.
Although it has recently been reprinted, this book is an extremely rare 1967 first edition.
The clear cover has a small tear. Some pages inside the book have come loose.
