Incense burner (2) - Copper, brass - Foo Dog & Laughing Buddha

In excellent and beautiful condition, a set of incense burners featuring Foo Dogs & Laughing Buddha - "Xuande Baoding" brand.
Period: 1970–1980
Both pieces are adorned with deep relief carvings and rich cultural symbolism.
Lids: Crowned with a powerful Foo Dog (Buddhist temple lion), a traditional symbol of protection, strength, and prosperity. The lids are openwork (perforated) so that the incense smoke can escape elegantly.
Body: Features a prominent depiction of the Laughing Buddha (Budai) surrounded by traditional Chinese characters, symbolizing happiness, wealth, and contentment.
Ears/Handles: Beautifully crafted handles shaped like the heads of mythological creatures.
Base mark: The underside bears a round apocryphal seal mark in script reading "Xuande Baoding" (宣德寶鼎). This refers to the classic Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty and literally translates to "Precious Incense Vessel of Xuande."
Condition: In very nice and clean vintage condition with a beautiful golden-yellow patina. The interiors of the lids show some typical dark casting residues and small green oxidation spots from the manufacturing process—completely normal for objects of this age. One rim has a small, inconspicuous casting hairline from the foundry.
