Antique Ansonia mantel clock – ca. 1890-1905 – oak case – multi-day striking movement
Beautiful antique mantel clock from the Ansonia Clock Company, New York, finished in a richly carved oak case with spiraled columns and a decorative pediment. Equipped with a dial with Arabic numerals, brass lunette with glass and a mechanical multi-day movement.
The movement is stamped “Ansonia Clock Co. New York” and bears the patent notice “Patented June 18, 1882.” The movement has two barrels and strikes the hours and half-hours on a ring gong.
The clock is supplied with a pendulum and key and is in good running condition. Some fine adjustment after transport may be necessary.
