Sawyer De Luxe Projector (Model S-1 / De Luxe) Slide projector

Here is a piece of history of modern design and vintage collecting: the View-Master De Luxe Projector (Model De Luxe), produced in the 1950s and 1960s by Sawyer's Inc. This fascinating device allowed projecting on a wall the famous color slides contained in View-Master disks, transforming individual viewing into a shared experience. Characterized by a splendid vintage brown Bakelite design and a sturdy frame with a metal bracket, it is a highly interesting item for vintage lovers and the brand's collectors.

The lot is presented in very good condition, excellently preserved in every component, and is tested and complete with its rare original box and the era's instruction manual.

Mechanical: Tested and working. The original electrical system with cord and switch responds correctly, the lamp lights up normally and the clever friction mechanical mechanism for inserting and rotating the View-Master disks operates smoothly.

Aesthetics: Very good overall condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The two-tone Bakelite body (dark brown and beige) is beautifully preserved, glossy and free of cracks or structural breaks. The front mask with the "Sawyer's View-Master" logos is intact.

The original cardboard box shows normal storage marks, wear and aging on the edges consistent with age, but maintains excellent structural solidity. The instruction manual is fully legible.

Included in the lot are the View-Master De Luxe Projector with the integrated power cord, the original Sawyer's period box, and the original multilingual instruction manual.
