GAF Standard Projector Slide projector

Up for auction an excellent vintage slide projector for the world’s most famous stereoscopic system: the GAF View-Master Projector 411, produced in the 1970s by the renowned GAF Corporation. This device allows projecting onto a wall, in a magnified format, the static images contained in the classic View-Master discs. A fantastic piece of mid-century modern and an indispensable accessory for collectors who want to share viewing of their vintage discs.

The lot is presented in very good overall condition, well preserved in every part, tested and working, complete with its original period box.

Optics: The projector is fitted with an original View-Master 85mm f/2.8 lens. The lenses are intact and scratch-free. A slight presence of dust under the inner lens is noted, typical of devices of that era, which does not compromise brightness or projection quality.

Mechanical and Electrical: Tested and perfectly functioning. The original electrical system with cord and plug is intact, the lamp powers on regularly, and the switch responds promptly.

Aesthetics: Very good overall condition, as clearly documented by the photographs. The rigid black plastic body is well preserved, free of cracks or breaks, with the markings and the upper metal grills shiny and legible.

The original cardboard box shows normal and widespread signs of storage, wear and aging on the flaps and edges consistent with age, yet maintaining good integrity.

Included in the lot are the GAF View-Master slide projector with integrated power cord and its original period box.
