The road occupies a central position within the work. It begins at the bottom and advances toward the center through a gentle arc, creating a pronounced sense of depth. Its wet, irregular surface is formed by a mix of browns, grays, purples, and whitish tones. Small traces of snow, stones, puddles, and dark earth areas suggest thaw or recent passage by walkers.
