Antique side table with exceptionally rich woodcarving

A particularly characterful antique wooden side table, executed with very rich and detailed woodcarving. The piece is characterized by the beautifully carved floral decorations around the table top and the beautifully turned, spiral legs.
Also the horizontal connecting rails are equipped with detailed turning, giving the little table a highly decorative appearance from all sides. The combination of the dark wood, pronounced ornamentation, and craftsmanship makes this a striking and atmospheric piece of furniture.
The tabletop is framed and has a raised edge. The floral motifs consist, among other things, of leaves and floral ornaments and are executed with a lot of detail. The whole has a beautifully seasoned look and authentic patina that suits its age.
On the underside of the tabletop there are some old handwritten notes/marks. Part of this is difficult to read due to wear; on one of the lines, for instance, “U.S.A.” seems to be written. The meaning and origin of these notes have not been determined with certainty.
Condition: good, authentic vintage/antique condition, with visible age and use traces. The wood shows natural color variations, small cracks from drying, and signs of age. These contribute to the authentic character of the piece. See the photos for a good impression of the condition.
