Footrest - Oak, Silk damask - Provence

Louis XV-style footstool produced in France in the 1940s.

It presents a solid oak wood structure in dark oak, with a round shape, carved with botanical motifs and cabriole legs. The seat has been reupholstered with a blue celeste silk-mixed damask fabric with botanical motifs, which emits an elegant iridescence in an orange-copper tone depending on the incidence of light. A perfect classic accent for creating Provençal or eclectic-style environments.

This is a vintage item in excellent overall condition, with slight signs of use and aging as can be seen in the detail images.
