The body is in beautiful condition with nice gaps and some signs of use. The chrome work is in a reasonable state and the rubbers have largely been replaced. The entire body has been treated three times with an 'Owatrol' coating to preserve it in its current state. The loading floor has been replaced, and a tow hitch is mounted at the rear. TECHNICAL
Technically, the car has been thoroughly overhauled: the engine has been rebuilt by a specialist. The automatic C6 transmission has also been rebuilt and the drive shaft renewed. Since the rebuild, the car has covered only 2,800 miles. In addition, the following have been renewed: front and rear brake shoes, master brake cylinder, 4 brake calipers, windshield washer reservoir, brake booster, all 4 shock absorbers, rear load adjusters, 4 tires, air filter, oil pump, carburetor, and, of course, the oil and oil filters. The oil channels have been widened to improve lubrication. The car drives, shifts, and brakes well. Thanks to the big V8 and the weight and size of the car, driving is an impressive experience. Yet the car remains surprisingly comfortable to drive, thanks in part to the distinctive power steering. An LPG tank has been installed to offset consumption.

The F-100 continued to use the same platform as the fourth generation but received a sleeker design and a roomier cab with more comfort features. The Twin I-Beam front suspension was adopted from the previous generation and provided a more comfortable ride than the heavier F-250 and F-350 models, which were equipped with a tougher suspension and drivetrain.
The F-100 was available as a two-door standard cab with a Styleside or Flareside bed, in both short and long configurations. Both variants were available with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. Depending on the year, different engines were available: two six-cylinders (240 and 300 cubic inches) and four V8 engines (302, 352, 360 and 390 cubic inches). In terms of transmission, buyers could choose from a Cruise-O-Matic 3-speed automatic, a manual 3-speed, or later a 4-speed, depending on engine and drivetrain.
