French carriage clock dating to 1850–1900 with a mechanical movement, glass and enamel case in brass, alarm strike, winding key included, in good working order.

French-marked, crafted by the renowned 19th-century Parisian clockmaker Victor Reclus for JUNG – Rue de Rivoli, the hall of Parisian luxury, still renowned today.
The mechanism of this EXCEPTIONAL JEWEL is the work of Pierre Victor Reclus (1831-1892), a renowned Parisian watchmaker and inventor, specialized in alarm clocks, barometers and clockwork mechanisms, and his clocks bear the signature "V.R- Breveté Paris".
In excellent condition and regularly functioning. Key-wound movement (key supplied with the clock).
Ceramic dial, perfect.
Brass case with perfectly intact glass.
Movement visible on four sides; original beveled glasses. A luxury clock of great importance.
Dimensions: Height 13 cm (excluding handle) - Width 9.5 cm - Depth 8 cm.
Weight over 1.4 kg.
The clock has an alarm function (indeed, it is an ALARM CLOCK) and its peculiar characteristic that distinguishes the works of master clockmaker VICTOR RECLUS is that the alarm is read and set in a COUNTERCLOCKWISE direction.
