Description from the seller
Beautiful and exceptionally well-running original Smart Roadster Coupe from the 2003 model year, originally delivered new in Germany, and a huge eye-catcher that also drives remarkably, like a go-kart. The German TÜV (Hauptuntersuchung) is valid until September 2027.
Documents:
The car was newly delivered in Germany in 2003, and thus has German registration. With these papers and the seller’s official invoice, a foreign new owner can easily register the Roadster Coupe.
Technical:
The three-cylinder turbo engine is paired with an automatic 6-speed transmission that can also be manually operated by using the gear lever. This version has the optionally stronger motor, with 60 kW (82 hp). It is a delightful driver’s car, and thanks to the electric retractable roof also a wonderfully fun semi-convertible with a soft top. In 2025 the car received a service, so a small service is advisable, as with any used car. Then you can also check the left window, which doesn’t work perfectly. The tires are in good condition, and a set of original steel wheels with winter tires is included at no extra cost.
Bodywork:
Smart is owned by Daimler Benz, the parent of Mercedes-Benz among others, and that shows in the finish; nothing rattles, the car sits well on the road, steers like a go-kart, and is still quite comfortable, even for longer journeys. The front bumper has some signs of wear. Notably, much of the bodywork on this Smart is made of plastic, so it cannot rust. The electric soft top works well; just keep an eye on the guides when closing, which is simple to do.
Interior:
The seats have beautiful upholstery and look very good. The mats and door panels as well. The interior is very neat.
In short, a wonderful young-timer that runs well and has a lot of presence, at an affordable price.
PICK-UP:
The car is located in Hengevelde, Netherlands, and can be picked up here, of course, or delivered for an additional fee.
OTHER INFORMATION:
The car can be delivered to anywhere in the European Union at relatively low cost by a professional transporter for an additional price.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
