Description from the seller

Audi enthusiasts: attention.

Only occasionally do you come across gems like this very nice Audi 60 L from 1971.

The car is now 55 years old; anti-rust treatment (Dinitrol) was the magic word, and a lot of care to keep it this beautiful. The car is in very beautiful original condition inside and out. With 92,700 km on the clock, this classic Audi is in good and attractive condition and forms an excellent basis for enthusiasts and collectors of oldtimers.
A special feature of its history: the Audi has stood unregistered in a dry garage for the last 16 years. Despite this long period of inactivity, the car is remarkably beautiful. In particular, the paint is in very attractive condition and the classic Zeezand color suits the car perfectly. Open the door, and the distinctive smell of a seventies Audi greets you.

Documents:

The car was imported from Austria to Germany many years ago and has an deregistered German license plate, as well as the highly coveted historic plate. (H-Kennzeichen)
With these German registration papers (so-called Kfz Brief und Schein) and the official invoice from the seller a potential foreign new owner can easily register the car in his country. The instruction manual has always remained with the car.

Bodywork:

Of course this Audi is more than 50 years old and absolutely not a perfect or fully restored museum piece. Very light signs of use are present and to be expected on a classic car of this type. The authentic overall condition, however, adds to the charm. Some lacquer improvements have naturally been carried out over the years, and especially through the generously applied anti-rust treatments the body has remained in beautiful condition.

Technical:

After a long period of inactivity, a few maintenance tasks have recently been carried out:
Oil and oil filter renewed, brake fluid replaced, new battery installed. The engine runs perfectly and the car is basically ready to go. It starts, shifts, stops and drives well; one point of attention is a rattling in the front suspension due to a rubber guide bush needing replacement. The fuel gauge sometimes does not work.

Interior:

The interior is also in very good condition and underscores the authentic character of this increasingly rare classic. The seat upholstery has remained very nice; a small imperfection is one spot on the backrest of the rear seat due to sun exposure. The door panels, headliner and floor mats are extremely neat.

Pickup:

The car is located in Hengevelde, Netherlands and can of course be picked up here or can be delivered at additional cost.

Additional Information:

The car can be delivered to anywhere in the entire European Union at relatively low cost by a professional transporter for an extra fee.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
