The 918 Spyder also features a carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic monocoque, active aerodynamics, rear-wheel steering, removable roof panels, and multiple driving modes designed for both electric operation and maximum performance. Its innovative construction and exceptionally capable chassis allowed it to combine hypercar acceleration with remarkable stability and everyday usability.
In 2013, a 918 Spyder equipped with the Weissach Package completed the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 6 minutes and 57 seconds, becoming the first series-production road car to record an officially measured lap below seven minutes. Production was limited to exactly 918 examples, securing its status as one of Porsche’s most exclusive and collectible models.
