A beautiful and highly detailed antique double and heavy ink set from France, made around the turn of the century (ca. 1890-1910) in the graceful Art Nouveau / Belle Époque style.

This classic desk ornament is designed by the French sculptor Antoni (A.) Bossu (not signed). In the center stands a beautifully detailed, elaborately dressed horse. On both sides there are two ink pots with decorative lids. At the front there is a handy, shell-shaped groove that serves as a pen holder. Behind the horse are two supports—the horseshoe where letters or pens can rest against.

Een prachtig en zeer gedetailleerd antiek dubbel en zwaar inktstel uit Frankrijk, gemaakt rond de eeuwwisseling (ca. 1890-1910) in de sierlijke Art Nouveau / Belle Époque stijl.

Dit klassieke bureau-ornament is ontworpen door de Franse beeldhouwer Antoni (A.) Bossu ( niet gesigneerd) In het midden staat een prachtig gedetailleerd, opgetuigd paard. Aan weerszijden bevinden zich twee inktpotten met decoratieve deksels. Aan de voorkant zit een handige, schelpvormige gleuf die dient als pennenbakje. Achter het paard zitten twee steunen  het hoefijzer waar brieven of pennen tegenaan kunnen rusten.
