Description from the seller

Russia – Nicholas I – Silver Rouble 1841 СПБ-НГ – NGC AU55 – Certified Imperial Russian Silver

Attractive and highly collectible Imperial Russian silver rouble dated 1841, struck during the reign of Emperor Nicholas I at the St. Petersburg Mint.

The coin has been professionally authenticated and graded by NGC (Numismatic Guaranty Company):

1841 СПБ-НГ – NGC AU55
Certification No. 6485770-005

A strong example of this classic Nicholas I rouble, retaining considerable original detail and presenting very well for the AU55 grade. The imperial double-headed eagle remains sharply defined, while the reverse displays the elegant crowned denomination design surrounded by laurel and oak branches.

The coin has an attractive natural silver-grey appearance with subtle toning and good overall eye appeal. Importantly, it has received a straight numerical grade from NGC, confirming that it was accepted without a Details designation.

* St. Petersburg Mint – СПБ-НГ
