Roux-Marquiand - Coffee pot (2) - silvered metal

Pair of antique French metal coffee pots in a silvered finish, produced by Roux-Marquiand, Lyon. Both specimens feature engraved decorations and rest on four feet. There are side handles and hinged lids. At the bottom are the producer's marks, including the "RM" mark accompanied by a star, another mark with a star motif, and the numbers "12" and "15". There are also incised/punched numbers on the bottom. Estimated period: early decades of the 20th century, circa 1900–1920. Dimensions and weight: – Coffee pot no. 15: height 26 cm, width 15 cm, depth 23 cm; weight 988 g. – Coffee pot no. 12: height 21 cm, width 14 cm, depth 22 cm; weight 764 g. – Total weight: 1,752 g.
