Description from the seller
“Queen of Hearts (the bluff)” is an original and spectacular surrealist work, a remix of another earlier piece by Antonio Pirozzi that staged, materializing it, the famous playing card Queen of Hearts. Executed in oil on canvas, the work symbolizes a woman without a mask, capable of consoling, listening, and at the same time bluffing, playing tricks on those nearby. Beautiful, rich in bright colors, set in a Venetian context, the work measures 70 cm in height by 60 cm in length. It is shipped via SDA express courier of Poste Italiane or with GLS. Delivery times are: for Italy 2/3 days; for abroad 5/6 days. On the back, attached to the artwork, is the certificate of authenticity (COA), the artist’s signature and professional stamp.
Antonio Pirozzi, born in Giugliano in Campania near Naples, is an architect and painter. He trained within the circle of Neapolitan surrealist and metaphysical painters, among whom we include Antonio Nunziante. The paintings often crystallize dreamlike and unreal atmospheres, creations of notable poetic quality, built on unlikely combinations that seem to evoke the realm of the subconscious and the arcane.
He currently lives and works in Mugnano di Napoli.
