Antique Louis XV-style Display Table in rosewood with ceramic plaques – Napoleon III era
Refined display table in Louis XV style, made in rosewood during the Napoleon III era, characterized by elegant curving lines and rich applied decoration.
The upper surface, octagonal in shape, is embellished with a central glass insert that allows viewing the interior lined in burgundy fabric. The glass is framed by a slim molded surround and a gilded metal perforated gallery running along the entire perimeter, giving lightness and preciousness to the whole.
The lower frieze is decorated with finely chased bronze appliques and enriched by circular ceramic plaques painted with polychrome floral motifs, set within ornamental frames. In the center there is a lock with a hanging tassel knob.
