HISTORY/DOCUMENTATION
This Alfa Romeo is a specimen from the final series of the iconic Spider: a model that had been produced in basic form since the 1950s. This particular car was newly delivered by the Alfa Romeo dealer in The Hague on May 1, 1991. The car has always remained in the hands of Dutch owners. Notably, the very low mileage of just over 35,000 kilometers and the very original condition of the car. The original mileage is confirmed by the NAP odometer report from the RDW. Even the soft top is still original, and in nearly new condition! This indicates that the car was used only for touring or vacation trips. The original delivery, service, and instruction manuals are still with the car. The APK (Dutch periodic vehicle inspection) is valid until January 24, 2027. Thanks to extensive maintenance in 2025 with a Alfa Romeo specialist, the car is fully ready for the next owner!
EXTERIOR
The Alfa is stylishly finished in black lacquer 'Nero' (color code 817) with a black leather interior. A rare, rugged and very handsome color for this Spider, precisely because it is so uncommon. The paintwork is in very good condition with a deep shine. In April 2026 a professional detailing was performed. The chrome work is also in good condition. The car is in its original condition, which is a testament to the extremely low mileage. The aluminum 15" Ronal wheels are nearly new and are equipped around with good Michelin tires. The rubber seals and lighting are still in good shape. All surrounding windows are still original. An electric antenna is present. The black soft top is still original but in very good condition, which suggests the car has always been stored dry. The soft top can be neatly stowed under the tonneau cover.
INTERIOR
The beautiful leather interior is fully in black and is in very good condition without damage. The dashboard is also fresh. The seats are comfortable and the Alfa Romeo mats lie neatly on the floor. Notably, the condition of the knobs and gauges is very neat. The steering wheel and gear knob are still in very good condition as well. The interior is equipped with, among other things, a new Pioneer radio with Bluetooth, electrically adjustable mirrors and electric windows. A wind deflector is also included. The trunk area is neat and lined with beige upholstery. The lower compartment houses the spare wheel. There is another smaller compartment suitable for tools.
TECHNICAL
The last maintenance was carried out in 2025 by an Alfa Romeo specialist. Includes replacement of rear lower arms, engine mounts and various interior components. The car has also been aligned and a new Pioneer Bluetooth stereo installed. The car starts, drives and shifts as it should. The character is brisk and sporty, yet comfortable. The 1,962 cc 4-cylinder injected engine delivers 123 hp and takes the Alfa to 100 km/h in 9.4 seconds. This is the most sought-after engine, and also known for reliability. Under the hood the engine bay looks fresh, clean and dry. A better car for cruising around, for example, the Italian lakes or the Côte d’Azur would be hard to imagine!
GENERAL INFORMATION
The now-renowned Alfa Romeo Spider was introduced on March 10, 1966 at the Geneva Motor Show. It succeeded the Giulietta Spider and was the first in a total of 4 series that would eventually be built. The 4th and final series was produced only from 1990 to 1993. There were 2 engines available: a 1.6-liter and a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder. Models with the 2-liter engine were named Veloce (Italian for 'fast') and are, of course, the most powerful. The combination of power, performance, and suppleness makes this engine the most beloved. The design comes from the renowned designer Pininfarina. This generation is known for its pleasant driving behavior and reliability, with rising prices as a result.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
