Important gilded antique mirror with an architectural Neoclassical frame – late 19th century
Elegant and sober wall-mounted antique mirror, with a carved and gilded wooden frame, of strong Neoclassical inspiration and an architectural composition with great balance and presence.
The frame features a robust and refined structure, with corners highlighted in the shape of stepped cartouches, decorated with relief moldings and finely worked friezes. The ornamentation, discreet but of high quality, adheres to the decorative canons of the late 19th-century historicism, evoking French and Italian models of classical tradition.
It preserves its original beveled mirror, with slight signs of wear (small marks and patinas), consistent with its age and that add authenticity without diminishing its decorative value.
