Description from the seller

An extraordinary and iconic work by Mario Schifano (1934–1998), one of the absolute pioneers of European Pop Art and the Piazza del Popolo School. This piece, within an elegant white frame, belongs to his famous and highly sought-after series of "Tele/Computerized Photos"—hand-retouched photographs taken from television screens. Schifano isolates a transitory mediated image, turning an ephemeral television broadcast into a lyrical and permanent artistic declaration through dynamic and energetic marks of colored enamel. A conceptuel work of great impact, worthy of a museum, that perfectly reflects Schifano's obsession with contemporary media and visual flows. Its high liquidity and strong demand from collectors make it a premier addition to any modern art collection.
The work is archived at the Mario Schifano Works Archive catalogued at the M.S. Multistudio Foundation from 1985 to 1997, volume V, and published on page 69, reference F90097-09898, and in the General Catalogue Telemarket on page 309, of which a color photocopy will be provided. Documents from the Foundation and catalog publication photographs are attached.
The lot will be properly packaged and shipped with affiliated couriers and with online tracking.
For this lot, shipments outside the European Community are not made.
