Authentic Moorcroft Pottery vase from England by Walter Moorcroft.
Variant: Columbine Leaf and Berry, ovoid, thick.
Artist: Walter Moorcroft, 1994.
Signature initials WM painted in green under the base.
Marks under the base clearly visible in photos: the MOORCROFT MADE IN ENGLAND mark, plus a painted eye, plus the painter’s initials Kg for tube-lined painting, plus B for the color painter, plus WM in green. Eye mark characteristic of 1994.
Vase shape: ovoid, bulbous, thick neck, flared lip, widened base, more full than the pedestal trumpet model.
Height: 25 to 26 cm, yellow tape measurement in photo 1.
Opening diameter: 8.5 cm, top-down measurement in central photo.
Body diameter max approx. 16 to 17 cm, base about 12 cm.
Decoration: hand-painted tube-lined enamelling, bright blue flame that shifts toward violet, stylised trees, pale pink/orange background, buds and berries, lower half green and red, 360-degree decoration.
Technique: tube-lined enamel, brilliant glaze, Walter Moorcroft.
Material: faience, glazed.
Condition: good vintage condition, no chips, no cracks or crazing under base; no restoration. Vivid, bright colours.
Provenance: old private Belgian collection, Montpellier; same lot as another Moorcroft piece; end 28.5 cm tall.
Rare thicker variant in the lot with the fin model.
