GENERAL:
Mercedes-Benz 380SE from 1981 with approximately 147,000 kilometers. It is a national vehicle registered in Spain since new, having belonged to only two owners throughout its life, always kept running and passing ITV inspections regularly. It has just undergone a tune-up. Although the photo report shows the iconic hood star, unfortunately it was stolen at the end of a classic car fair.
Historical note about the model: Belonging to the famous W126 generation designed by Bruno Sacco, the S-Class launched in the late 70s redefin ed the concept of the international luxury sedan thanks to innovations in aerodynamics, active safety and structural lightness. The 380SE version is powered by the renowned 3.8-liter lightweight alloy V8 M116 engine, a block known for its smooth operation, mechanical reliability and for representing the perfect balance between the era’s executive comfort and highway performance.
CARROCERÍA Y PINTURA:
The bodywork is in good overall condition and has never suffered a major accident, showing only the usual scratches from daily use that can be seen in the photographs. The paint retains good shine, though it has multiple minor defects easily fixable. The underbody is in very good condition thanks to having always overnighted in a garage within a dry-climate city like Madrid; as observed in the images, it only shows some minimal surface rust of little significance.
MECÁNICA:
The engine and transmission have always been well maintained. However, due to the age of its last owner, in recent years it has been used very little, so it is advisable to perform a minor inspection and an additional tune-up.
INTERIOR:
The interior is in good condition, very sound and with wear fully in line with its mileage. It is unknown whether the upholstery and interiors are the originals with which the car left the factory.
