A. Koupetzian, pupil of Martiros Sarian (1880-1972), the greatest Armenian artist.
Koupetzian became famous for his Cubist compositions, called synthetic Cubism, originally invented by Braque and Picasso around 1910.
After embracing this style in the 1970s, A. Koupetzian significantly developed it, adding depth and colors never observed before.
The works are widely shown in exhibitions and national museums in Russia, Italy, the USA, the United Kingdom and China.
