Etruscan ceramic plate on a conical foot, dating to the 5th–4th century BCE, with a red glaze and geometric decoration attributed to the Genucilia group, diameter 13.5 cm, height 4.9 cm, in good condition and original, provenance France from Galerie M.R.S. with a former German collection from around 1980.

Etruscan ceramic dish with red glaze decoration attributed to the Genucilia group.
A hollow dish resting on a conical foot, with a small flared lip.
Ceramics coated with a red glaze, the central decoration forming a four-teardrop star alternating with hearts, the lip adorned with five spirals. Elegant curve.
This type of plate is found in Etruscan and Latian tombs.
The Genucilia plates, with geometric decoration, take their name from a woman named Poplia Genucilia, whose name was inscribed on the plate found in her tomb.
This type of plate also shows similarities with the ceramics of the Greek colonies in southern Italy.
