The body of the duck is built from a detailed "peacock eye" pattern of concentrated murrine rods in the colors red, yellow, opal white and black. The solid glass head is richly inlaid with 24k gold leaf (aventurine effect) and finished with a yellow glass beak and fused murrine eyes.
