Description from the seller
Two sturdy Biedermeier armchairs, made of mahogany
Sweden, circa 19th century
The wide dining chairs with armrests stand out for their characteristic curved backrests with symmetrical wood grain.
The curved armrests, tapering legs, and the decorative round element in the back connection give the distinctive Scandinavian Biedermeier appearance.
The chairs are equipped with high-quality upholstery in a light, classical damask fabric with a Baroque pattern.
In good condition. They sit very solid and comfortable. The upholstery at the front and on the sides is slightly discolored with some light stains. At the front of the backrest, a small piece of the wood has broken off. See last photos.
