Wall-mounted antique mirror in Louis XVI style, with a carved wooden frame and glass, measuring approximately 93 × 53 cm and dating to about 1910–1920, with a beige finish and silver accents, in good condition with minor aging signs.
Description from the seller
Elegant large antique wall mirror in Louis XVI / Neoclassical style, with a carved wooden frame and rich ornamental decoration.
The frame features an elongated oval shape, decorated with a relief leaf frieze, vegetal elements and scrolls. Notably the imposing upper openwork pediment, symmetrical, with large foliage and volutes, partially highlighted in gold.
The lower part also features carved and openwork decoration, giving balance to the composition.
Finish in light/patinated tones with gilded accents, showing wear and patina compatible with age.
The mirror shows small yellowish spots and natural signs of aging of the reflective surface, visible in the photographs.
From its construction, decorative features and style, the piece is probably from the late 19th century / early 20th century. It has no identified maker's mark, so its exact origin is not attributed.
Dimensions overall: approximately 93 × 53 cm.
Overall antique condition as in the photographs. Small cracks are visible at the joints of the frame, wear of the finish, patina and other signs typical of age. It is recommended to carefully review all photographs, which are an integral part of the description.
A piece with a strong decorative presence, suitable both for a collection of antique furniture and for classic or contemporary interiors.
