This hand-knotted Sarough-Mir rug from India features a classic, evenly arranged Mir-i-Boteh pattern. The subdued green inner field is fully adorned with small stylized Boteh motifs in cream, pink, and dark tones, conveying a calm, harmonious impression.

Several elaborately patterned borders in cream, ochre/red-brown, green and brown decoratively frame the medallion-free inner field.
