This hand-knotted Oriental rug from Turkey features a traditional Kars design. The boldly red inner field is defined by a large stylized Tree of Life, whose geometric branches, blossoms, and hooked elements are arranged symmetrically.

Several contrasting borders with geometric flower and stem motifs in cream, dark blue, red, green and brown decoratively frame the inner field. The clear drawing and traditional color scheme give the rug a distinctive Anatolian character.

Due to its elongated format, the rug is especially suitable for hallways, corridors, entryways, or as a decorative focal point in living and work spaces.
