Description from the seller
Set of 6 wine glasses in transparent lead crystal, mouth-blown and hand-polished. Produced in the Czech Republic in the early 1900s. Manufacturer: Moser, model Lady Hemilton. Unmarked, made before 1936. The cup features a tall, tulip- or truncated-egg-shaped bowl that opens slightly by flaring toward the rim. The edge is smooth, with a clean cut. The lower half of the bowl is embellished with a series of flat vertical facets. These large geometric facets present an upper end that is elegantly rounded into an ogive (or arc) and progressively narrow downward, visually routing the form toward the junction with the stem. The stem is fully integrated and has a hexagonal (six-sided) cross-section. The stem gradually widens toward the base, culminating in a flattened-disc knop (knob) that is also faceted, serving as both a decorative and ergonomic aid for grip. The stem connects to the base via a small circular collar (rochet). The foot is perfectly circular, flat, and undecorated, designed to ensure maximum stability and to leave space for the material’s purity. Measurements: height 17 cm x diameter 8.5 cm.
