Beautiful pair of French curtain supports from the second half of the 19th century, Napoléon III era, in gilded bronze.
The initials "BR" correspond to the mark of the manufacturer or French master founder (fondeur) responsible for casting the bronze. In the antique market, pieces marked with "BR" are often associated with high-quality Parisian foundry workshops active in the 19th century.
