Description from the seller
Vintage MONVIS pocket watch – 15 JEWELS – SWISS MADE – ANTIMAGNETIC
Elegant Swiss pocket watch MONVIS, with a hand-wound mechanical movement and 15 JEWELS indicated on the dial.
The dial, light-colored, features large black Arabic numerals for easy readability, an outer supplementary 13–24 hour scale, and a small seconds subdial at 6 o'clock. There are the inscriptions “MONVIS – 15 JEWELS – ANTIMAGNETIC – SWISS MADE.”
The case is of the savonette type, with a hinged front cover. Particularly decorative is the external lid, adorned with a detailed engraving depicting a steam locomotive, an element that gives the watch a very distinctive and collectible character.
The mechanical movement is visible when opening the back case. The watch is functioning at the time of testing: it winds up and the movement is in running order.
Total weight: about 80 grams.
Vintage condition with normal signs of wear: light marks, scratches and patina visible on the case and dial, consistent with the age of the piece.
