Splendid, unique and unrepeatable work by Luca Alinari, depicting a very particular subject (an orgy, in a fantastical setting that recalls his famous "fantastic landscapes", hence the title "Fantastic Orgy"), sized specifically to be placed above the headboard of a bed, mixed media with stunning colors. Biography:
Luca Alinari (Florence, 1943-2019) was one of the most cultured and refined figures in the contemporary Italian art scene. He broke through with early works inspired by the poetics of New Dada and Pop Art. In his 1970s works, ordinary objects were freely juxtaposed, with implicit messages of conceptual and philosophical nature. His painting techniques were revolutionary, among the widest variety. The fantastical atmospheres took hold in the 1980s and found their definitive culmination with the Fantastic Landscapes. Throughout his career he exhibited worldwide, participating in international shows such as the Venice Biennale and the Rome Quadrennial. Galleria d'Arte Piero Della Francesca was among the first galleries to sense Luca’s absolute talent and hosted, in 1972, one of his first solo exhibitions. The collaboration with Luca, cemented by a fraternal friendship with Giacomo Vaiani Lisi, lasted until his passing. His genius is evidenced by the wonderful works that have made him a master beloved in our time.
