Description from the seller
A-2300SX – Stereo Reel-to-Reel Recorder (Vintage Reel-to-Reel)
The TEAC A-2300SX is a reference stereo reel-to-reel recorder from 1970s Japanese production, designed according to criteria of high mechanical stability and high-fidelity analog playback. Valued by audiophiles and collectors, it represents one of the most successful examples of TEAC’s constructive philosophy in the consumer/semiprofessional segment of that era.
The model uses a three-motor transport system, with precise tape tension control and separation of the recording, playback, and erasing functions via dedicated heads. The mechanical construction is solid, with a rigid chassis and an internal layout designed to reduce vibrations and drift instability.
Conditions of the unit
This specific unit presents in excellent aesthetic condition, long kept exclusively in static display (showcase) and used in an incredibly limited way.
Very well-preserved aesthetics, with no obvious signs of wear
Front panel, knobs and VU meters in excellent overall condition
No apparent modifications or tampering
Mechanical condition is in order and functions normally in tests performed
Functionality
The unit has been tested and is functioning in the main operating functions:
Play
Fast Forward
Rewind
