Description from the seller
OLYMPUS TRIP 35, tested and working.
Hello from Japan!
We provide high-quality cameras and lenses to the world.
Designed by the legendary Yoshihisa Maitani and introduced by Olympus in 1967, the Trip 35 is one of the most iconic compact cameras ever made, with over ten million units produced over its long life. Its sharp D.Zuiko 40mm f/2.8 lens and selenium-cell automatic exposure require no battery, and the famous red flag in the viewfinder warns of insufficient light. A true classic of point-and-shoot design.
Important — please read carefully:
There is haze in the lens. Please review the photos and consider this before bidding.
Condition: Used — Good
Pre-owned, distinct signs of use or minor optical flaws
Serial Number
Please check the photo.
Appearance
Scuffs and scratches from normal use. Please check the photos for details.
Optical Condition
Lens / Sensor: Haze present
Functional
The camera operates properly.
The selenium automatic exposure responds — measured about +0.4 EV at EV12 and +1.1 EV at EV15, within a usable range for negative film.
Measured Performance
We check these cameras on a shutter tester rather than by ear, and we publish what we measured:
- Light meter accuracy — EV12: 0.4 OVER / EV15: 1.1 OVER
Negative film has enough latitude to absorb deviations of this size, but the figures are here so you can judge for yourself.
Servicing
This camera was serviced by us before listing:
- Viewfinder cleaned internally
- Light seals (foam) replaced
- Lens cleaned internally
Known Issues
1. There is some haze in the lens even after internal cleaning. It may slightly reduce contrast against the light — please check the photos.
Bundled Items
Only what you can see in the pictures will be included in the package.
Important Notes for Used Items
As this is a used item, subtle imperfections may exist that are not individually described.
