Description from the seller
KONICA Genba Kantoku 28, tested and working.
Hello from Japan!
We provide high-quality cameras and lenses to the world.
The Konica Genba Kantoku — literally 'site supervisor' — is Japan's famous construction-site camera, built in the 1990s to survive conditions that would destroy an ordinary compact: dust, rain, drops and gloved hands. This 28 version pairs a wide 28mm lens with a big shock-absorbing armoured shell, oversized controls and weather sealing, and the series became standard equipment on Japanese building sites. In recent years these rugged compacts have found a cult audience among film shooters who love their indestructible feel and the wide lens's snapshot-friendly view — a very Japanese piece of photographic industrial design.
Important — please read carefully:
Pre-owned, distinct signs of use or minor optical flaws
Condition: Used — Good

Appearance
Plenty of scuffs and dirt from real site use — exactly what this rugged camera was built for. Please check the photos.

Functional
The camera operates properly. Flash, film transport and shutter all work.
Measured exposure is accurate: about -0.2 EV at both EV12 and EV15.
Measured Performance
We check these cameras on a shutter tester rather than by ear, and we publish what we measured:
- Light meter accuracy — EV12: 0.2 UNDER / EV15: 0.2 UNDER
Negative film has enough latitude to absorb deviations of this size, but the figures are here so you can judge for yourself.
Known Issues
1. Heavy cosmetic wear from use, as shown in the photos. Function is not affected.
Bundled Items
Only what you can see in the pictures will be included in the package.
