The Akai GX-R35 is a high-quality auto-reverse cassette deck launched by Japanese manufacturer Akai around 1990. The deck is best known for its robust construction and the implementation of the legendary, virtually hard-wearing Super GX audio heads.
Below you will find an overview of the most important specifications and features:
Main Specifications
Type: 2-head, single compact cassette deck with Quick Reverse. This means that the head turns mechanically to play the other side of the tape directly.
Heads: 1 x Super GX head for recording/playing, 1 x erasing head.
Tape Substances: Suitable for Type I (Normal), CrO2 (Chrome) and Metal tapes.
Noise cancellation: Equipped with Dolby B and Dolby C.
Frequency range: 25Hz to 18kHz when using Metal tapes.
Signal-to-noise ratio: 71dB (when Dolby C is turned on).
Whining (Wow & Flutter): Only 0.045%.
