We present an exclusive antique Ghom rug, an exceptional piece for its artistic design and its extraordinary level of detail. Handwoven in India between 1950 and 1960, this rug reflects the inspiration of the old Persian Ghom workshops, with a highly decorative composition and a unique motif full of scenes, figures, animals and traditional vegetation.
Made 100% by hand in wool on cotton, it stands out for its high quality of execution and its elegant blend of deep, warm colors. The central design features a spectacular Tree of Life surrounded by figures, animals and an exceptional decoration inspired by ancient Eastern manuscripts. The rug incorporates an exclusive decorative border with Arabic letters inspired by traditional Qur'anic script, adding even more character and authenticity to the piece.
The rug has a density of approximately 7 × 7 knots per square centimeter, equivalent to about 490,000 knots per square meter, demonstrating the fine craftsmanship and the high technical level of the piece.
It is in very good condition for its age. It shows no breaks or significant flaws. It only needs professional cleaning to refresh and further enhance the original colors.
