Description from the seller

This remarkably large and antique bell-case of a so-called Oeil de Boeuf, in English the bull’s-eye or cows’ eye, deserves to be fitted again with a clock movement and dial. The dial must be larger than 31.5 cm, because that is the inside diameter of the brass rim.

The crest has been broken in several places and has already been repaired several times. Small pieces are also missing. The surrounding inlay work around the copper rim is notably intact. A crack is visible in the top ornament.
The decorative piece at the bottom is intact.

The case body lists a number of names and dates such as "Liège 1873", "Hooye 189? - 1907 Cochey" and "J Driessen 1962". Names of the owners or of the repairers?

The clock case can be picked up in Almere. Shipping is done very carefully packed and insured.
