Description from the seller

Orfèvres Bousin-Bonnevie & L. van Regemorter – 35 pieces in solid silver 800 – 2.656 kg

Important old Belgian service in solid silver 800/1000, consisting of 35 pieces for an exceptional total weight of 2.656 kg.

Elegant Regency-style model, with reeded edges, clasps, and foliate ornaments. All pieces decorated with the same remarkable monogram “CT,” finely engraved.

Composition: size

– 1 large ladle: 36 cm
– 1 small ladle: 19.4 cm
– 6 large spoons: 22 cm
– 6 small spoons: 19 cm
– 14 large forks: 21 cm
– 7 small forks: 18 cm

The majority of the pieces bear the “BB” intertwined double hallmark, attributed to the Belgian silversmith Boussin-Bonnevie.

Seven large forks bear the hallmark “VR,” surmounted by a star and accompanied by a three‑leafed clover, corresponding to the Belgian silversmith L. van Regemorter.

All pieces bear the Belgian Title mark “A 2,” guaranteeing the solid silver as the second fineness, i.e., 800/1000, a mark used in Belgium between 1869 and 1942.

Despite the presence of two different silversmith marks, the set is perfectly homogeneous in its model, its decoration, and its monogram. Belgian work dating probably from the late 19th or early 20th century, circa 1900–1920.

Total weight: 2.656 kg.

Good overall antique condition. Patina, fine scratches and normal signs of use, a ding on a small spoon visible in the photographs. The set preserved in its antique state, without excessive polishing.
