Silver commemorative Prussian 3 Mark coin minted in 1913 to celebrate the centenary of Napoleon’s defeat in the Wars of Liberation. The obverse features a German Imperial eagle in an aggressive pose, gripping a serpent, a symbol of victory, in a heraldic style with strong symbolic charge. The reverse shows a detailed scene with the king on horseback surrounded by military and civilian figures, in a narrative composition of great historical and artistic richness. The specimen retains good overall brilliance with defined relieves. It maintains an attractive visual presence and represents an important testament to German nationalism prior to World War I.
